Exterior Operations
Our exterior operations crew consists of eight highly talented staff members that enjoy tremendous skill levels and years of field experience which render them as a key asset to the organization.
While they possess tremendous technical knowledge and real life skills, they have the uncanny ability to relate to our client’s personal concerns, such as while clearing a lot, has the specimen Beech tree which is so critical to the client been appropriately protected? Did we utilize the best method to remove other trees around the specimen to minimize accessory damage? Has the existing topsoil been segregated and protected from sub-soils to ensure the client’s lawn will be as successful as possible? Are the foundation drains that ensure the client a permanent dry basement been properly installed and then again rechecked?
This crew truly cares and is compelled to go the extra mile to ensure that the startup phase is done on a client’s home to the same standard as if it were their own personal residence. They have all seen through years of experience the hardships associated with sloppiness or complacency and the extreme unpleasantness that is the result of this scenario. They are focused and intent on ensuring that all of their tasks in the startup phase, be it road construction, stakeout and survey, clearing, excavation, footings, waterproofing and the finished grading has met Municipal code requirements inclusive of grading plans, erosion control and the protection of natural resources.
This crew performs all house stakeouts which are done for the client in scale for both horizontal and vertical controls. This is achieved by physically stringing color ribbon around the entire perimeter of all exterior walls of the home. This allows a client to truly understand their views, curb appeal and natural light penetration to the structure. As a final check, scaffolding platforms are constructed to allow the client to stand on the ultimate first floor elevation to inspect the vistas and understand the presence of the permanent home. They will continue to adjust and re-stake countless times to ensure our client has a full understanding of the site/house relationship.
This is a remarkable group and I am confident that you will share in my opinion at the conclusion of your layout.
